Amendment 3 proposals are due to be accepted in November 2014 for publication in January 2015. What do you have to do and when? The new regulations will be published on 5th January 2015. You are not obliged to work to Amendment 3 regulations until 1st July 2015, but you can do so if you want to from January 5th 2015.

The DPC for Amendment 3 proposes the placement of additional, clear responsibility on the designer to produce Risk Assessments for the omission of additional protection by means of an RCD for socket outlets with a rated current not exceeding 20A. Those unaccustomed to documenting formal risk assessments may be thinking, “Do I really need to use Risk Assessments in my business?”

Delegates were taken through the proposed changes in a 3 hour seminar lead by our industry expert.
